I have a little garden. For me, it is like a little church. It’s a place that makes it easy to feel God’s closeness. He teaches me in my garden.
I think that, when we turn off the world’s distractions, everyone feels good in a garden. We were created in a Garden and God walked with us there. We live our lives in His Creation, His Garden. Our bodies eventually rest in a garden waiting, in joyful hope, to enter His heavenly Garden.
Little garden, it’s time to sleep.
The first snow’s coming soon.
We’ve felt the chilly air at night,
And now it seems to last past noon.
A year of challenges is done
And night will last for just a day.
We’ll rest from dancing in the Sun
And Spring’s a breath and dream away.
Dream of sunshine and cool rain,
Feathered fledglings; cloud and clear.
Squirrels and chipmunks, wandering bears
And visits from the baby deer.
Now the snow begins to fall
The Gardener tells us all to shoo.
But when you wake up in awhile
We’ll all be waiting here for you.
